 The U. S. Naval Fleet  at Pearl Harbor - prior to  the attack!                                               >

 At 7:30 a.m. (2;30 p.m. eastern time) on Sunday December 7, 1941 the Japanese, without warning, attack the American Naval base at Pearl Harbor. When it was over, 3,581 military and  civilian  personel lay dead or wounded - the  American fleet lay in ruins, the airfleet destroyed and shore installation in shambles.
